Year: 1992 Language: English Author: J. Gordon Vaeth Format: PDF Quality: Scanned pages Number of pages: 113 Description: When in january 1942 German submarines began their attacks on shipping in American waters, the U.S. avy had one squadron of four blimps based at Lakehurst, New Jersey. Before the war ended, there would be eleven antisubmarine blimp squadrons deployed along the east coasts of North and South America, throughout the Caribbean, at the Strait of Gibraltar, and in the Mediterranean.
